The cats have always been my favorite in this series and this book was no exception. This was a complete story as I said but I believe it also was a perfect set up for the next book in the Cinder Spire chronicles, The Olympian Affair. You really almost feel like its a first person novel because of how well he writes Benedicts character. There was humor, nasty creatures, talking cats, a dragon and a ‘how in the world will he pull it off’ escape. This package likely contains something that will aid them in their battles against the Aurorans. This book was focused on Benedict Lancaster, a well known character, and focused on a side mission the Spirearch has given him.
